German-Japanese trumpeter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Shogo Seifert moves between modern jazz, improvisation, hip-hop, pop and experimental sound worlds. His playing combines a warm, lyrical trumpet sound, emotional directness and a strong sense for ensemble interaction.

After studying jazz trumpet, composition and arrangement in Dresden, Paris and Berlin, Seifert became active in a wide range of musical contexts as a performer, composer and studio musician. His debut album Causes Of Imagination with Shogo Seifert’s Rauke was released on Double Moon Records / Challenge Records and nominated for the German Jazz Prize 2026 in the category “Debut Album of the Year”.
Versatile across styles but always rooted in the freedom of jazz, Seifert’s music brings together composition, improvisation and cinematic soundscapes.
