Michael Goral (Born 17th July) better known by his stage name 'SHORTY MIC' started writing his own music, heavily influenced by West Coast artists such as Tupac, NWA, Ice Cube, Dr Dre and Nate Dogg. He started to develop his own sound which could be likened to be a fusion between West Coast/New York/Detroit Hip Hop. Other influences in his music are Eminem, Obie Trice, Royce da 5'9 and Twista. Shorty proudly produces and composes his own beats and has completed a bachelor of Music Composition and Production.
Shorty Mic has opened for many up and coming Australian and International artists, as well as performing at many Melbourne and regional Victorian Hip Hop shows, including his own headlining shows. He has also toured Asia and gained a solid following. He has also shared the stage and opened for renowned artists such as Madchild, Swollen Members, Obie Trice, Swifty McVay of D12, Dj Unk, Cali Swag District, former Funk Volume artist Dizzy Wright, Merkules, Perth rappers COMPLETE and KOGZ , Tech N9ne and Joey Cool just to name a few.
DJ Symphony and Rza of world wide known Hip Hop group Wu-Tang also called Michael directly from California to offer him a spot on the Wu-Nation Aussie Mixtape with his track titled '152 Bar Fight'. DJ Symphony personally chose this song to be the first track on the 2nd Volume of the Mixtape, a spot usually saved for high paying artists looking for exposure. The mixtape has seen over 1,600,000 downloads to date.
