In addition to being a former classical piano prodigy, Shomin (ShoTheSPACECADET) played 6 other instruments including saxophone, sitar, guitar, bass, drums, & ukulele by the age of 12. He was also a nationally renowned singer recognized by the National Young Arts Foundation at an early age of 16.
His talent was later recognized by the incredibly prestigious Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at New York University where he & only 25 of the best high school music students in the country were offered admission. It was there he fell in love with pop music & "cutting off the fat of a song."
At age 20, Shomin began working with a multitude of Grammy & Emmy winning songwriters including (Kendra Foster, Bob Power, Jimmy Dunne, Dave Tozer, Young Guru, & Ingrid Michaelson) as a recording engineer & additional composer only to embrace his own hands and start his "Space Cadet" identity & solo project.
