Shove's brand of loud, guitar-driven noise pop debut on a split-CD EP with Torpedo in 1998. Released on their own Omnibus Records, critical comparisons toward <a href="spotify:artist:1xgFexIwrf2QjbU0buCNnp">the Breeders</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2QwJQuBekTA4qF7N7uLHDP">Veruca Salt</a> resulted as this Sacramento trio followed with another split that same year with Speed King. Shove's first full-length Soundtrack for Disaster came out in 1999 before a tour of the United States ensued in support of it.~ Mike DaRonco
