Shylow

Shylow is a multifaceted hip hop artist based in Ontario, Canada, excelling as an MC, producer, and DJ. Over the years, he has collaborated with prominent figures in the hip hop industry, including Jake One, Kev Brown, Large Professor, and DJ Premier. Notably, he contributed to the platinum-selling album "Kartagina" by Polish rapper/producer O.S.T.R.

An accomplished performer, Shy has shared stages with numerous notable acts such as Cage, Yakballz, Ill Bill, and Jedi Mind Tricks. As a DJ, he showcases unmatched skill in crafting intricate scratch hooks, and has contributed to tracks featuring artists like Conway the Machine, Benny The Butcher, Big Daddy Kane, Talib Kweli, The Lox and many others.

An honors graduate from The Harris Institute of the Arts in production and engineering, Shylow has established himself as a respected producer. In 2021, he produced a track for Pharoahe Monch's project "TH1RTEEN," which was highlighted on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and NPR’s "Tiny Desk Concert." He also served as Co-Executive Producer on Marco Polo's acclaimed albums "Port Authority" and "PA2: The Director's Cut," both nominated for a Juno Award.

With a wealth of collaborations to his credit, Shylow has only released one solo single, the 2003 Ayatollah-produced "Moment of Clarity." However, he is set to change that in 2025 with the long-anticipated release of his debut solo album, solidifying his status as a "Triple Threat Legend."
