A post-hardcore supergroup of sorts, Sianvar ("sea-en-var") made their debut in 2013 with members from bands like Hail the Sun, Dance Gavin Dance, Stolas, and A Lot Like Birds. The quintet was formed by vocalist Donovan Melero, guitarists Will Swan and Sergio Medina, drummer Joseph Arrington, and bassist Michael Littlefield. They released an eponymous EP on Swan's own label, Blue Swan Records, at the start of 2014, touring throughout the year with some of the bands in which they were originally members. Littlefield parted ways with Sianvar in 2015, replaced by Michael Franzino. He would appear on the band's debut LP, Stay Lost, which arrived in 2016. The album featured the singles "Omniphobia" and "Psychosis Succumbing," and debuted at number 23 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart. ~ Neil Z. Yeung, Rovi
