Signs

This artist/poet whose name is Signs, also known as A.D.E(Always driven everyday) grew up in uptown Chicago for about twelve years, and then was sent to his parents’ native home country Nigeria in July of 1996. During his stay in Nigeria, he learned and discovered the history of African culture and acquired knowledge based on his African roots of his tribe known as the Yoruba tribe group. During his stay in Nigeria Signs attended Highschool known as Chrisland and it was then that he began writting rhymes aftershool and learned more about the history of Hiphop and became more intune with the very elements of Hiphop culture(from Djing, breakdancing, graffiti, beatboxing and Mcing). After doing 6 years in Nigeria Signs later returned back to Chicago in mid 2002 and began to pursure his career in music very seriously and began to mature in both his music and his writing skills as an artist. The first thing that surprises the listener is the very depth of his content and the substance he brings in his songs of story telling that displays meaningful lyrics and also songs that are very ear catching and entertaining. Some fans would say that Signs is way deeper than just being a regular rapper because his content is based on concepts that are universal to every demographic that are relatable and poetic. His creativity shines brightly thru in his music tracks which are filled with a uniqueness delivery.
