Nottingham-based singer-songwriter Simon Jamie has been writing and performing music since 1990, both as a solo musician and in bands. Simon was a founder member of the successful 'Wide Eyed Wonder' and performed throughout the 90's as part of 'Wobbegong'. More recently he has been the lead singer for 'Escalator Kings'.
Simon's earlier work is largely instrumental and electronic but since 2000 he has branched out into writing more vocal-led material ranging from pop/rock to folk and alternative. He writes and records in his home studio, striving for that ever-elusive 'polished' sound whilst trying to decide which of his backlog of unrecorded songs to work on next. Simon plays guitar, keys, bass and occasionally hits drums.
