Yang are a genrefluid electronic project established in Manchester on Halloween 2017.
Their sound is full of dreamy soundscapes, pulsating kick drums, gargantuan distorted bass, crooning vocals and twinkling, spiralling synths.
Yang maintain a DIY outlook and present an immersive live show featuring specially curated visuals for each individual venue.
A year after the release of their well received debut single and video “yangtape2”, the duo released their debut EP “Patrice”, mastered by Jesse F Keeler of Death From Above and MSTRKRFT, alongside the short film “Yangtapes” in July 2019.
Later that month, Yang played a triumphant set at Bluedot Festival.
“Patrice features a level of maturity and songwriting skill reserved for much more seasoned artists”
- The Mic Magazine
“An all-encompassing atmospheric indie-dance performance, that treads the line between the two genres with perfect accuracy; never relying too heavily on their driving beat, never drowning it out with their spiraling and sparkling synth sounds, it is both beautifully simple and yet surprisingly powerful”
