Simon Karolis is Arend Jan van der Scheer. Van der Scheer was one of the driving forces behind the arty band LPG, which released three albums on the Dutch label Excelsior Recordings. When LPG fell apart abruptly in 2012, Arend Jan went on with his life, getting two kids and entering the world of dayjobs. In march of this year he is releasing an EP under his alias Simon Karolis which will be called 'Infants'. The EP talks about the perks of young fatherhood in all it's facets. It's no longer as 15 minutes and bounces between the swing off the good old Beck and the direct lyrics of Bill Callahan. Simon Karolis ladies and Gentlemen!
