Multifaceted artist and singer
Simon Peyron return this month
with brand new single ‘I Don’t
Mind.’
Known as the charismatic frontman of
Swedish metal act Outtrigger, Peyron
follows up on his recent Eurovision
instalment ‘Surface’ alongside Ellen
Benediktsson, which garnered more
than 1.6m streams globally.
A personal and poignant injection of polished, emotively charged pop, ‘I Don’t
Mind’ fuses playful energy and poignant lyrical detail for one of his most striking
solo efforts to date. Playing off the energy of his own career and the constant glow
of the limelight alongside partner and Swedish broadcasting favourite Malin
Olsson, the single stands as a solid statement of intention for Peyron and his solo
aspirations.
‘The song is about reflecting on the ups and downs of a relationship. It’s not always
straightforward, and the best ones tend to involve riding out the challenges
together and being realistic about each other as flawed human beings first and
foremost,’ explains Peyron. ‘You work together to make the pieces fit, and some
times you just have to fight for the things you know you want in your life.’
Written alongside Joakim Rosenlund and Laurell Baker, the single is the first from
Simon’s forthcoming debut EP, which will be an intimate and eye-opening first
instalment from the artist, father, and frontman for 2021.
