Sincerely John

John is a hip hop artist, content creator, husband, father, and business owner. Above all of that, he is a follower of Jesus.
As a young man, John was introduced to rap by his older brother. Rappers like 50 Cent, Eminem, Kanye West, and more formed his initial interest with the art. John began writing raps at the age of 15 and found it as a way to express what he wouldn’t in any other way. Through the highs and lows of his teens, through his addiction and recovery as a young adult, writing was central to who John was becoming. After writing a letter-styled song that ended with the words, “signed Sincerely, John” John adopted it as his artist name. In 2016, John believed the gospel and became a follower of Jesus. At first, John set down listening to and writing rap for about a year as some of the content and messages weren’t aligned with his new life. After some major life changes, John was inspired afresh to write and create again with the gospel message at the core of his songs. Though music will never be John’s top priority, he sees clearly that it is a tool to spread the gospel and build faith in those who listen. Surrounded by a great community in Southern Oregon, John is more active than ever with his art and excited to share the music he is making. Thank you for listening and please share.
