He is one of the few visible queer Black Male artists renovating the techno and hip-hop space: his rhythmic yet aggressive lyrics about love and lust met with experimental production to evoke what you might imagine listening to as introspection and translation.
Detroit, MI artist, songwriter, engineer, SIR-DONAVIN is not to be overlooked. Unlike some mononymous individuals, his name has not been duplicated. “I feel the same way about myself and my individuality. I can’t be remade, I can’t be remodeled—and it would be more than difficult to get me confused with anyone else.” He states. SIR developed his lyrical skills to many different covers/remixes on YouTube’s platform. Recently having singles “Along” & “HARD IN THE PAINT” solely written and mixed and mastered by himself. Sir-Donavin’s influence stems from various different types of genres—he is to be paid attention to.
