Sitrekin is the new project of Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg, founding member, former lead singer and songwriter of acclaimed group Blue Foundation. She is the voice behind Eyes on Fire the Grammy nominated and multi million streamed Twilight soundtrack hit song, which has achieved cult status world wide.
Sitrekin’s debut single Open Chest went #1 on Danish National Radio P6 Beat and achieved international attention e.g. on KEXP. The Danish Arts Foundation highlighted Sitrekin in 2023 for her strongly personal and minimalistic electronic-indie productions, catchy melodies and luminous vocals.
Sitrekin’s music was endorsed by sound gigant Dolby Labs and she is one of the first Danish artists to embrace spatial audio. In September ’23 she inaugurated VEGA’s immersive sound system, playing the opening concert of their first immersive concert series.
Sitrekin made her live debut with her band in 2022 at Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen and ended the year opening British alt-J’s arena concert in KB Hallen, in front of 4000 people. She has toured in Greenland and performed at the SPOT Festival 2023 and 2024 and in the grandiose ‘DR Koncertsalen’ in Copenhagen.
Sitrekin returned to Lille VEGA 02.02.24, to play a sold out double concert with fellow Danish artist Yör.
In July 2024 she performed at the largest electronic event ever in London as a special guest at Michael Bibi's One Life event in Finsbury Park.
Sitrekin is currently in the studio, creating her debut album.
