Growing up in a small Swiss mountain village, Sivilian discovered his passion for music early on. He was influenced by the music of pop icons like Britney Spears as well as classics such as CCR, ABBA, and Queen. Together with his former classmate Karen Frauchiger, he founded the folk-pop band Frost & Fog. This led to performances at the Gurtenfestival, a nomination for the M4Music Demotape Clinic, and initial radio success with the song "Barricade." Encouraged by his sister, Sivilian launched his solo project in 2020 with the release of his first single "Invisible to Automatic Doors." During a period of self-reflection, Sivilian quit his old job and returned to his roots to write new music. In the songs, Sivilian humorously and sarcastically explores the experience of growing up queer in a small, rural, Christian-influenced Swiss village— a theme that runs throughout his second EP "Growing Up Hurts".
