Formed in 2015 in Scotland’s capital, Sixteen12 played their first gig together on 16/12/2015...This coupled with their mutual love of Vulfpeck and their track 1612 lead to the bands name and they have performed as far and wide as possible ever since.
Damian Casey-Boyce on vocals, Gareth Walker on guitar, Callum Richardson on drums and Craig Hunter on bass.
The album was written on the west coast of Scotland, in the house of a mutual friend who was kind enough to lend it to the band for a long weekend. Situated on the hamlet of Lochailort, there are absolutely stunning views and over 4 nights the band found the inspiration to write most of the album including ‘The Trip’ and the title track ‘Welcome Ever Smiles’ - taken directly from a Shakespeare inscription above the fireplace!
“An upbeat mixture of pop, reggae and folk that gets you dancing, the bands first album shows much promise for the future” - Elmo Morrison, East Coast FM
They can be found playing in Edinburgh, Friday nights in Jake’s Place for a massive 3 hours of originals and covers.
They are very proud to bring you their debut album “Welcome Ever Smiles” and are currently working on their second album due out in 2020. Check out their Instagram @sixteen12band and Facebook for regular updates!
