Salami Kasimu Kelvin, professionally known as Skelvin, is a fast-growing Nigerian Afrobeat and Hip-Hop artist from Edo State, Nigeria. He is known for his conscious sound and has worked with notable artists such as Erigga, Rybeena, Chella, Hotkeed, Smur Lee, Jaywillz, Magnito, and Corizo, among others.

Skelvin first gained regional success in 2022 with his widely popular single “Only Hope,” which appeared on his debut album The Rendition.

Following this success, he released “Survival” and “Money Go Come” in 2023, both of which went viral on TikTok and brought him into the limelight.

In 2024, his career reached new heights as his music videos received frequent airplay on MTV Base and other major TV stations, following the release of his EP The Revelation, which produced hit tracks such as “Survival,” “Money Go Come,” and “Redeemer” featuring Corizo.

He sustained this momentum in 2024 with releases including “Cana” featuring Erigga, “My Comforter” featuring Hotkeed, and “Hallelu” featuring Chella.

In 2025, Skelvin released “Alubarika” featuring Rybeena and “Mr. Parker” featuring Smur Lee and Corizo. Before the end of the year, he also dropped “One Life” and “Masterpiece,” both of which went viral on TikTok.

Kicking off 2026, Skelvin began his journey for the year with a trending motivational single titled “Freedom,” further affirming his place as one of Nigeria’s promising Afrobeat and Hip-Hop acts.
