Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Skip the Foreplay fuse metalcore's anger with danceable synth pop to create their electronicore sound. Since their formation in 2010, Skip the Foreplay's sound has found them following in the footsteps of bands like Attack Attack!, merging the disparate sounds of dance music and metal together into an explosion of indulgent sonic excess that finds the fringes of extreme music colliding head on with the slick Auto-Tuned sounds of the pop charts. The band gained the attention of punk giant Epitaph with its first single, "This City (We're Taking Over)," and signed on with the label in 2011. The Canadian sextet made its full-length debut for the label in 2012 with Nightlife. ~ Gregory Heaney, Rovi
