Skorcha

Dubbed as the “Rasta Rockstar”, who hails from a musical lineage, Skorcha ( previously known as Melekú) seems to keep appearing on our radars. Born as Melech Miguel-Kayodeye Collins, on the Friday morning of March 21st 1997; the millennial child continues to ignite our hearts. Known for his melodious phrases and explosive delivery, Skorcha keeps his audience wanting more. His first attempts at only 18-y-o showed signs of a promising career. However, when popular group Major Lazer went on to repost his track “Right Place” on their Spotify playlist, his professional career officially kicked off. At the time he went under the moniker Melekú which he changed in 2019. It was clear a new star was on the horizon but one not new to fame or spotlight. Skorcha is also son of legendary reggae artists, Sizzla. In early summer 19’, we saw Skorcha dabble in the dancehall arena with the release of “Gyal Criminal”; one that garnered moderate attention for the young singer. It’s safe to say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. The world awaits the young prodigy. ROCKSTAR!
