South African multi-award-winning singer Nonhle Aretha Mhlongo, known by her stage name Skye Wanda, discovered her passion for music at a young age. She won the SAMRO Songwriter of the Year award at the BASADI IN MUSIC Awards in 2022, the Best House Song award at the Metro FM Music Awards in 2023, and the Best Dance award at the Metro FM Music Awards in 2024. In 2015, she participated in Idols SA, reaching the Top 16 before having to withdraw for personal reasons. In 2016, Skye Wanda was invited to perform as the opening act for American singer Kelly Price at the Essence Festival in New Orleans. Skye Wanda has collaborated with several renowned South African artists, including DJ Tira, Zakes Bantwini, OSKIDO, DJ Ganyani, Harrison Crump, Q Twins, Drega, Malumz on Decks, Kweyama Brothers, Duncan, Sithelo, Dlala Thukzin, DJ Bongz, Zakwe, and Beast Rsa, to name a few.
Additionally, Skye Wanda is a founding member of the Chesterville Arts Foundation and has also served as a guest judge on "My Connect," a talent search show.
