Slingshot is a southern California based, genre bending alternative rock band created by Dylan Baumgartner in 2018, at first, as a solely online studio band project with releases such as "Track Record" [2018], "Sugar" EP [2019] and "Trapped in Oblivion'' [2020], collaborating with various local artists and covering genres from acoustic ballads to hip-hop. With the release of "The Straw Man" [2021], Slingshot took to the stage performing live shows and studio live sessions while being fronted by the fictional Straw Man character. The following year ushered in a new era for the band, implementing alternative punk and hardcore influence with the release of "Dawn of Decline" EP [2023] followed by a split EP "Invaders From Uranus!" [2023] and singles "157AM" and "Rorschach" being released in 2024. Currently the band is performing live shows to promote their new EP "Don't Get Lost Before Dusk".
