Coming off its highly acclaimed debut EP, featuring "Mr. Alibi," the members of Slow Train challenged themselves in early 2019 to deliver to its fans a debut album fully capturing their collective vision. The band spent countless sessions furiously writing together more than 50 songs, experimenting across a wide range of genres and sounds in pursuit of a body of work that would leave an indelible imprint on its listeners. From that sweat and persistence, "A Mile From Town," Slow Train's debut LP, announces itself loudly to audiences around the world.
Starting with the opening haunting piano chords and thunderous drums in its debut single "Skip To The End," the album weaves its way through heartland rock sounds to indie synth pop, taking listeners for a ride defined by intelligent melodies, haunting rhythms, and honest lyrics.
Now looking to spend much of 2020 touring in support of the record, the band is excited to give its fans a body of work that delivers something for everybody. "For us, ultimately it's about just writing great songs, simple as that." says Eric Wallace (Bass, Backing Vocals).
