Australian indie-rock favorites Slowly Slowly are set to release their fifth studio album, Forgiving Spree, on January 24, 2025, via Nettwerk Music Group. The album features singles “<a href="spotify:album:5eIWOlKHdKO9s6gMV8QZxd" data-name="Gimme the Wrench">Gimme the Wrench</a>,” “<a href="spotify:album:2PrLCYakdWDEEuh69b1bze" data-name="All Time">All Time</a>,” and the title track, showcasing the band’s evolving sound. Frontman Ben Stewart set out to create a “solid rock album with no filler” that’s tightly crafted, made for the stage, and explosive, drawing on influences like <a href="spotify:artist:0C0XlULifJtAgn6ZNCW2eu" data-name="The Killers">The Killers</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3eqjTLE0HfPfh78zjh6TqT" data-name="Bruce Springsteen">Bruce Springsteen</a>.

Building on the introspective storytelling and clever wordplay Slowly Slowly is known for, Forgiving Spree leans further into the refreshing pop sensibilities uncovered on their last album, <a href="spotify:album:4zLDoXRUANLQWJE1HAiz1V" data-name="Daisy Chain">Daisy Chain</a>. At The Disco">Panic! At The Disco</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3jOstUTkEu2JkjvRdBA5Gu" data-name="Weezer">Weezer</a>), and mixed by UK heavyweight Jonathan Gilmore (<a href="spotify:artist:3mIj9lX2MWuHmhNCA7LSCW" data-name="The 1975">The 1975</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1kDGbuxWknIKx4FlgWxiSp" data-name="Nothing But Thieves">Nothing But Thieves</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3btzEQD6sugImIHPMRgkwV" data-name="Wolf Alice">Wolf Alice</a>), the album represents Slowly Slowly’s most adventurous work yet.
