Semantics have cemented their name and reputation into the Brisbane music scene since their formation
in 2017. With multiple national Australian tours under their belt supporting the likes of Luca Brasi, Violent Soho, Sly Withers, The Menzingers and many other artists - and with legendary Los Angeles label SideOneDummy pushing their music worldwide since the release of their debut LP Paint Me Blue, the band have been garnering a passionate and loyal fanbase worldwide.
Drawing influence from artists as subtle as Augie March to as ignorant as The Darkness, as shoegazey as Superheaven and as rock ‘n’ roll as Def Leppard: Semantics have touched almost every subgenre of rock in an incredibly cohesive body of work. The lyrical content is more poetic and metaphorical than ever, yet they’re still delivering the earworm hooks Semantics fans have grown to adore.
