In the late 90s early 2000s Rey aka Smile4Me ReBoRN started in the metal music scene. From his high school band Dark Tortured Souls fast forwarding to 2003 with Acid Dime 7; Progressing in 2004/5 with Oedipus Complex. All bands hailing from Chicago. Rey toured around the city of Chicago, suburbs and other parts of Illinois all the way out to Wisconsin.
In 2000 Rey lost a member of his family to a terrible fire. His dear cousin Melissa. Melissa was so intrigued by dragonflies which is why it became the sole image and logo for Smile4Me ReBoRN.
Smile4Me came from the loss of family members Melissa and Alex. This is where the birth of the name Smile4Me ReBoRN came from. Creating solo mixtapes from 2006-2010 including "Born with a heart so torn", "Revived", "Angelic Hellspawn" "This is My Life", "Hidden Realms of ReBoRN", "Cellar Door Closed" and "The Truth part 1". Unfortunately these only exist through certain fans, friends and family members. Smile4Me ReBoRN dropped his debut album "Rey" expressing an emotional side to his creativity and openly admitting to his severe depression and anxiety.
