Smoke Spell originated as a busking duo in the streets of Montreal with Krystle Mckillop on acoustic guitar, cajone and tambourine and Jason Lariviere playing the up-right bass. "Don't Die Before You're Dead", their first EP was released in April of 2021. That year Smoke Spell would add lead guitar player Patrick Gillett and drummer/washboard player Gabriel Lecompte. Smoke Spell's first album as a four piece "Evil in Me" was released in July of 2022. Smoke Spell is known for raspy vocals and in-your-face lyrics with a dirty-folk punkrock twist that'll get you stompin and dancing. Evil in Me is loaded with 8 killer tracks about heartache, capitalism, travelling, partying, and of course being Evil. Catch us playing all over Montreal at your favourite bars, restaurants, venues, festivals and alleyways.
