Sofi is a Swedish saxophonist, singer and composer who has played with musicians such as Mory Kante, Tony Allen, Etienne Mbappe and Charlelie Couture (France). She has released 8 CD's under her own name. Sofi Hellborg is a unique musician in many ways. And her music, mixing afro, funk and jazz is sophisticated and smart, at the same time as it will fill every dance floor, in the cool north as well as down south.
In 2019 Jazz I Malmö awarded Sofi as musician of the year.
She has played important festivals such as Tanjazz (Marocco) and Pori Jazz (Finland). Her band consists of top-of-the-line musicians from the jazz and world music circuit and is incredibly inter played and tight.
As well as her own group Sofi is involved in many different music projects such as Hellskotta, Konkarong, Kaxophonic and JiiJii (children music).
