Known for their experimental compositions, through their collaborative process, their artistic vision is rooted in integrating diverse objects into their sound world. Samplers, tape machines, synths, and guitars are seamlessly combined with unconventional elements like horse shoes, glass panes, picket poles, and shortwave radio.
Their debut album, Fyris Swan, was issued by Hefty Records in 2006. The following year, they performed in Melbourne with artist <a href="spotify:artist:4X3dUbGsTpVH6EbxtWnj6T" data-name="Taylor Deupree">Taylor Deupree</a> and fellow Australian <a href="spotify:artist:2sZLz9AIez0JXsgHO0ogUA" data-name="Seaworthy">Seaworthy</a>. Solo Andata continued collaborating remotely, and <a href="spotify:album:4W87koCASZujLo7cAGOhDv" data-name="In The Lens">In The Lens</a>, appeared on 12k in 2016. Their latest release Slip Casting is Solo Andata’s fifth full length release and continues to highlight the diverse sound palette and genre-jumping sounds that the duo expertly finesses into compositions that move, breathe and collapse.
