With his diverse beats and sweet melodies, Solomon Plate emerged in 2017 and took the music scene by surprise. His <a href="spotify:artist:0j5CGslS41MUjK6uekSHZU" data-name="Mag44">Mag44</a> produced debut single “Dance” introduced a whole new sound in the Christian music industry making him one of the fastest rising stars in the genre. He later on collaborated with <a href="spotify:artist:1Rkz7wbIgGz8wBCN8TsfKU" data-name="Pompi">Pompi</a> to make another hit song “Donki” but it was only after his song “Way You Are” that he gathered fans in and out of the Church.
Solomon Plate, an award winning artist & Producer was born Solomon Moyo in Lusaka, Zambia, in 1996. He started music from a young age by playing drums in church then later discovered he could sing. Over the years he has worked with big names in the industry as a singer and a producer. The likes of Sampa The Great, Da’ T.R.U.T.H., Mag44, Pompi, Slap Dee, Busiswa, LimoBlaze, Macky2 just to mention a few. He released an album titled Munthu which became one of the most streamed albums in the country. This album has songs like Donki, Way you are, For me among others. He went on to release his second album ‘Over & Over’ on the 7th of August 2024.
Solomon Plate has also worked in Film and Television, producing music for “Can You See Us” the first ever Zambian movie on Netflix. He also produced and performed on the Zuba theme song for Zambezi Magic alongside renowned artist <a href="spotify:artist:2wMANrJhcgffus0NQNcBhm" data-name="Esther Chungu">Esther Chungu</a>. Beyond film and TV, Solomon has created music for major brands including Coca-Cola Africa, Yas Tanzania, MTN, DFCU & Stanbic Bank Uganda and Access bank Nigeria.
