Founder of Chicago-based psychedelic rock band, Second Sound, Mark Gilbert has now set his sights on new sonic terrain with his current project, Songwatcher. Formed in 2020, Songwatcher's debut album, A Day Like Today, touches on elements of indie rock, alt-country and atmospheric music with introspective lyrics that speak of isolation and loss.
Songwatcher’s recent EP, Impossible Fascination, sees Gilbert teaming up with former Second Sound keyboardist Kevin Greene, creating a diverse landscape of songs that are beautiful and inventive.
