"Hailing from Kirkcaldy, Fife, Sons of Chance is a dynamic alt-pop rock indie band with infectious punk vibes, formed in July 2023.
Initially, the band came together to play covers of forgotten favorites, but they soon discovered a shared passion for writing new material. The name Sons of Chance is inspired by the serendipitous encounters that brought the band together and a nod to Joy Division's "Insight" lyrics.
Sons of Chance has released their debut 4-track EP "Better Late Than Never", with singles "Bodyside" (September 2024) and "Talk Too Much" (January 2025) available on major streaming platforms. The EP also features standout tracks "Warmest Loving Smile" and "Let Me In".
Both "Bodyside" and their latest single "Show Them" have received great support, getting added to Jim Gellatley's Amazing Radios playlist.
The band has been bringing their high-energy live shows to venues throughout Edinburgh and Fife since February 2024, winning over audiences with their sound. Each song has its own identity, blending catchy riffs with earworm choruses that stick with you. Look out for Sons of Chance at upcoming gigs, including Pride in Kirkcaldy 2025 and Leven Promfest 2025, amongst others. The band is currently working on their next 4-track EP, "Define The Sublime", set for release in Summer 2025. With their energetic sound and infectious hooks, Sons of Chance can't wait to take the stage and bring their music to audiences near you.
