Sophie now releases under her new artist project ‘gleame’ <3
Sophie DeMasi is a singer, songwriter and producer from West London. Growing up between London and the States, she began singing from an early age and trained classically in violin. Her main musical inspiration stemmed from producers, like Mike Dean and Flume. At 15, inspired by producer Wondagurl, Sophie taught herself to produce from online YouTube tutorials and began producing and recording her own songs in her bedroom. At 16, she won an international young songwriter competition, receiving praise from artists including Imogen Heap and Tom Odell. Following this success, she was actively involved in the London music scene, making a name for herself performing at countless shows/festivals and collaborating with other London artists such as Finn Foxell and Lorenzo RSV (Nine8 Collective). In September 2021 DeMasi was discovered by legendary Producer Duo Stargate (Beyonce, Rihanna and was offered a full scholarship to be mentored at their program ‘LAAMP’ in Los Angeles. Under their mentorship, she was able to expand her craft after working in hundreds of sessions. During this time, Sophie met producer Nico Fabito, her main collaborator to this day. They have released 4 singles so far (‘Honestly’, ‘Escape!, ‘Beautiful Tragedy’ and ‘Gilded Shadow’). Sophie has created a unique world full of rich sonics and exciting concepts. She isn’t confined to one genre or sound. She is the sound.
