Think of NiNE8 as the U.K's "alt hip hop" version of Avengers Assemble. Between <a href="spotify:artist:4GoD5FJCgC0lbzde7ly44M" data-name="Biig Piig">Biig Piig</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:271bbpX3pdCi56ZJA1jQ43" data-name="Lava La Rue">Lava La Rue</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4q1qItmjb9INKQM0F82StP" data-name="Mac Wetha">Mac Wetha</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5VoreVetRqMEFui6KpGdt2" data-name="Bone Slim">Bone Slim</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6ikQz0CCwjFMtT7Hzxn9mY" data-name="Lorenzorsv">Lorenzorsv</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:2JVSIjXa8mS0437WpmGI0Q" data-name="Nige">Nige</a> , each member has an origin story with an individual cause for listeners to discover in their own right...but every now and then they are all summoned to form a supergroup called "NiNE8". Every mixtape released under "NiNE8" is like a crossover episode. Like Avengers, "NiNE8" tend to tear up any city they step foot in. Yet, instead of fighting intergalactic warlords, the collective allow the listener into a sonic scrapbook of stories about their inner city London life.
