Los Angeles-based songwriter Sophie Simmons is on a career defining run. Freya Skye’s recent Stardust EP, (on which Sophie penned two songs), hit #1 on the Billboard Vinyl chart in the US and simultaneously went #1 in the UK. 'Silent Treatment,' the single from the EP, reached #8 on US Pop Airplay Charts and top 20 in several other territories, making her one of the most exciting up-and-coming writers today.
Since beginning her professional writing career in 2018, the JUNO-nominated writer has built an impressive catalog. Cuts include NewJeans’ 'Bubble Gum,' Leah Kate’s viral 'F*ck Up The Friendship,' Felix Cartal’s SOCAN Award-winning 'Mine,' and the majority of Kenzie’s recent EP.
A vocalist herself, Sophie communicates melodies instinctively — her lyrical telepathy taps directly into the heart of an artist’s vision.
