Energetic, electronic, melodic and bouncy would be best to describe the new Soul of Ears. The released demo Cathode remarkably stated their unique style of mixing metalcore/post-hardcore and electronica.
Originating from Hong Kong, the 6-man-band was formed in June 2010 with metalcore being their initial anchor. The boys was setting their style after the synthist joined up the squad in summer 2012.
From the ordinary guitar-riff based metalcore, the boys moved on to their less explored genre which they found their place. Still retaining their melodic-riff-base, they started adding in influences from electro music, inspired by genres like trance, house and techno, etc. They aim to keep the heaviness of the songs, while having more modern and polished sounds mixed in.
Noticing the global rising movement of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) , the band decided to take half step in and get involved as rock musicians. Giving out the taste of metalcore, with the smell of dance, the boys invite all of you to join this madness.
