Sound Architects is a four-piece instrumental rock outfit based in Quezon City, Philippines. Formed in 2014, the band primarily focuses on creating atmospheric music through the utilization of sound colors and textures, and dynamic contrasts of and shifts of mood and intensity rooted in their affinity for various styles and genres including shoegaze, drone music, film music, and contemporary classical music.
Their debut album In Time of Need was released in 2017, and was noted by Young Star as having “mastered the balance between atmosphere and aggression”.
In 2019, the band released Transfer Protocol. A prelude to their upcoming 2nd album in the form of an EP, this release marked their shift in sound through veering away from their established style and instead exploring different sounds and incorporating new ideas into their music.
Sound Architects are currently recording their yet untitled 2nd album at Point Bee Multimedia in Quezon City, Philippines.
