Space Above is the atmospheric-electronic project of New Zealand music producer Aaron Short. The project began with a series of singles and remixes emerging from Short’s home studio in LA's Echo Park, and a full-length album titled '<a href="spotify:album:3NiSxmj1iu235hz7zoPUmB" data-name="Still">Still</a>' following shortly after. With the lead single <a href="spotify:album:3k1EgJRZPrLurVtURY1ZAM" data-name="Fall Through">Fall Through</a> featuring as Todays Top Tune on KCRW, and musical themes of deeply frozen escapism, the record made for a journey that caught ears from PASTE Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, Hillydilly, and premiered on Consequence of Sound.
‘Glow’, the follow up release to ‘<a href="spotify:album:3NiSxmj1iu235hz7zoPUmB" data-name="Still">Still</a>’, takes us on a journey of fierce synth driven bliss, ethereal sounds and deep dance floor progressions. Featuring the uptempo lead single ‘<a href="spotify:album:3S0TKCrOoTHwjPJUXrsPu3" data-name="Stolen Days">Stolen Days</a>’ with <a href="spotify:artist:6yI9BJNdoOE6vjbZGoGyGz" data-name="Alisa Xayalith">Alisa Xayalith</a> of <a href="spotify:artist:0oeUpvxWsC8bWS6SnpU8b9" data-name="The Naked And Famous">The Naked And Famous</a>, along with other long time collaborators <a href="spotify:artist:2j551jqYq2HQH3R63vtSQi" data-name="So Below">So Below</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:03SvzoU6aI5DkZkUrTMzYH" data-name="Boyboy">Boyboy</a>, Short breaks genre barriers from dream-pop to shoegaze to techno.
