Spider Eats Moon is an indie anomaly; part bedroom philosopher, part psychedelic storyteller. Blending indie, bedroom rock, alternative, folk, and warped psych textures, the project thrives on unpredictability. No two releases sound the same, because they’re not meant to. Each song exists in its own universe.
Based in Austin, TX and built independently from a bedroom studio, the project is rooted in DIY ethic and long nights fueled by curiosity. Influenced by the freedom and experimentation of artists like Djo, Tame Impala, John Lennon, Mac DeMarco, and MGMT, Spider Eats Moon pulls from the past while sounding distinctly its own.
There’s a sense of disguise at play: a blazer and tie on the surface, chaos and vulnerability underneath. Spider Eats Moon isn’t afraid to touch sensitive emotions, ask uncomfortable questions, or lean into the strange. The music can be vibey, emotional, surreal, or unhinged—but always honest.
