Glasgow based four-piece St Dukes have been steadily developing their atmospheric sound and cementing their status since 2014. The band is made up of Sarah Connor and Lewis Douglas, both on guitar and vocals, Fraser Hamilton on bass and Max Orr on drums. Their debut EP ‘Stranger by the Day’ was released in 2019 and was welcomed by a sold-out gig in Glasgow’s Old Hairdressers. Since then St Dukes have become a firm fixture within the city’s music scene and signed to Last Night From Glasgow in 2021. The band released their debut album on the 15th of April 2022. Their second single ‘To Be Home’ was chosen as BBC Radio Scotland’s single of the week and was played every day on The Afternoon Show. The album landed at Number 2 in the Official Scottish Albums Chart and Number 8 in the Official UK Vinyl Chart.
Their latest singles ‘Do Your Worst', ‘Growing Up’ and ‘Coastin’ were all released in 2024. They were recorded in early 2023, at Chem 19 and Green Door Studios in Glasgow, with all instruments being recorded live to tape. They were recorded, mixed and produced by Chris McCrory, engineered by Paul Savage and mastered by Philip Shaw Bova.
Their next single releases on the 28th of February 2025, it’s called ‘Aimless in Blue’ and was recorded in the summer of 2024, at Green Door Studios in Glasgow, with all instruments being recorded live to tape. It was recorded, mixed and produced by Chris McCrory, and mastered by Philip Shaw Bova.
