STandART is a darkwave band formed in 2002 in Jelgava, Latvia, as a continuation of an earlier experimental project of schoolmates in Riga called Skrīveri (1998-2001). STandART has undergone several lineup changes, released 3 studio albums and many (maxi-)singles. The band has constantly developed its sound, while mostly merging electronics and electric guitars with various acoustic instruments and samples into a dreamy dark atmosphere.
