State Of Trust is a band based in Norway. The group’s sounds could be described as a distinctive combination of various influences, including metal, alternative, and pretty much anything in between. The project was started by Cata Babut and Mircea Petreus, who have been friends ever since they were kids. They spent the last 20 years honing their musical craft, plating in various bands as well as recording music, producing records, and so much more. Vocals are done by Mikołaj Krzaczek from Thamnos Records - a metal musician, guitarist, vocalist, producer, audio engineer, and artist. State Of Trust is their outlet for energetic and uncompromising music. Their debut single, “Make Them Obey,” is actually a perfect example. The song dives in right from the get-go, and the relentless arrangement takes no prisoners. While the intro and the verses are fast-paced and aggressive, the chorus opens up, allowing the tempo to relax a bit and the vocals to approach a more melodic approach. The synthesizers in the background are a great way to augment the song with a lot of interesting textures, without necessarily taking away from the punch of the guitars, bass and drums. The down-tuned riffs are the beating heart of the song, as much as is the raw and edgy vocal tone, which is incredibly diverse, since the hook of the track features many incredible harmonies and melodic parts.
