Steinar Raknes is a Norwegian double bass player, vocalist and songwriter. He has been an important artist on the Norwegian jazz scene, with the bands Urban Connection, The Core, Ola Kvernberg Trio and his own jazz quartet Steinar Raknes Quartet. Year 2011 Raknes released the album Stillhouse, an americana album that started his vocal career. Like on Stillhouse Raknes´ latest vocal album Chasing The Real Things is featuring Mickey Raphael on harmonica, along with several Norwegian artists such as Ane Brun and Unni Wilhelmsen.
