Stella Rain was born in Hamilton, Canada in 2019 when prog drummer Matthew De Sousa crossed paths with powerhouse vocalist Mackenzie Attridge. The two formed a band known as 'Pineapple Grenade' and began gigging across Ontario, shaping the sound that would later become Stella Rain.

After the departure of original members with Pineapple Grenade, the band found its true form with the additions of funk-infused bassist Owen Gow in 2024 and guitar wizard Jake Smith in 2025.

Drawing from a wide palette of influences — jazz, classic rock, punk, disco, grunge, prog-metal — Stella Rain creates authentic, hard-hitting music that blends raw emotion with fearless creativity.
