Steph Kapela

Stephen Nyankuru, aka Steph Kapela was born and raised in Nairobi Kenya but moved to USA in 2007 for further studies. In June 2015 Steph returned to Kenya and linked up with Atwal Music to release his hit singles Got the Sauce, The Man and By Faith. Following a dispute at the label, Steph left Atwal music in August 2017 and begun working with Callivan Creatives, an indie label tailor made to Steph’s style of music. He released his EP Free Steph in 2019 to a great reception. Since then He has worked with renowned artists such as Khaligraph Jones, King Kaka, Muthoni Drummer Queen, Kristoff etc. He released his much-anticipated debut album Vikky Secrets on May 29th 2020 to an amazing reception from his fans and new fans alike. Steph lit up the streets with the widely popular Wewe ni Nani featuring Scar Mkadinali in 2020, a trap infused lyrical masterpiece which vividly paints life in the streets. In 2021 Steph remained active releasing a bunch of remixes and freestyles including Marizaddy, Still Madre and went on to feature on the Hennessy cypher 2.0. He also released Pilka Pilka and Corazon respectively in the second half of the years. In 2022 he featured once again in the 3rd installation of the Hennessy Cypher in February. Steph continues to deliver amazing music, incredible collaborations and top notch performances, and we expect more of that as the future unfolds.
