Stéphan Forté’s virtuosity and fierce imagination have been lighting up the sound of France’s dark progressive metallers Adagio since 2001. After five critically acclaimed albums with Adagio, Forté launched his solo career with The Shadows Compendium, a debut praised for its combination of high-level technique, romanticism, and cinematic storytelling. His follow-up album Enigma Opera Black, featuring guests like Marty Friedman and Andy James, solidified his reputation as a leading figure of modern guitar artistry.
In 2025, Stéphan unveiled his first signature guitar with Ibanez, the SFS727: the world’s first 27-fret, 7-string S model. The release was supported by a self-produced launch campaign, combining high-impact visuals, immersive storytelling, and a direct-to-fan marketing strategy.
Simultaneously, he is preparing the release of his most ambitious project to date — LEGIO, a narrative-driven musical and visual opus, accompanied by cinematic videos and followed by the launch of a new large-scale live concept scheduled for premiere in 2027.
