Stephen Rippy is an award-winning Texas-based composer with nearly three decades of experience writing and recording original soundtracks for games.
Since 1997, Stephen has provided music and sound design for a wide variety of titles and platforms. Notable releases include the "Age of Empires" series, "Age of Mythology," and "Halo Wars," as well as genre classics "CastleVille" (2011) and "Dungeon Boss" (2015).
In 2022, Stephen began his current role as an audio director for Netflix Games, writing music for "Money Heist: Ultimate Choice" and "Squid Game: Unleashed" (the latter featuring a full orchestral score).
Maintaining a separate body of work as a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Stephen has independently released twelve full-length albums - most recently 2025's "Clear and a Million" - and an instrumental EP ("Points," 2012).
Stephen continues to work in the Dallas area and is likely thinking about getting started on his next record.
