After the departure of lead singer and guitarist Justin Hawkins, the remaining members of British rock band the Darkness immediately regrouped to form the harder-edged heavy metal band Stone Gods. Former bassist Richie Edwards was appointed lead singer, while Dan Hawkins and Ed Graham retained their spots on guitar and drums. Toby Macfarlaine was brought in on bass, and the group set to work recording new songs for a debut album. Stone Gods spent the latter months of 2007 opening for Thin Lizzy and Apocalyptica, as well as playing solo gigs. Their debut single, "Burn the Witch," was released in early 2008, with the full-length debut album Silver Spoons and Broken Bones following later the same year. ~ Katherine Fulton, Rovi
