Based in Dundee, Scotland, Stonethrower have been making music together since 2015. They released their first EP Swells/Repels in the same year before a lineup change resulted in Stonethrower making music as a three-piece since the EP's release. Heavily influenced by DIY punk ethics but drawing from a wider musical palate, they make distinctive punk music that continually reshapes and reforms as their tastes evolve.
Their first LP Legacies was released in 2020, and all digital sales from the record were split between the Coalition for Racial Equality and Rights and Rad Apples/Conroys Basement - a Dundee venue where many of their formative shows were played. A vinyl release of the LP is forthcoming.
