Striborg originally began as early as 93/94 under the name ‘Kathaaria’. Changed name and direction in 97 as ‘Striborg’, incorporating black ambience and at times industrial / power electronics.
By the turn of the millennium Striborg was mellowing into a more epic and DSBM oriented act.
2017 saw a huge shift into an unknown genre… Blackwave. The idea was to combine 80s synth-pop / contemporary darkwave / electro and the atmosphere of black metal.
It’s now 2024. Striborg is now venturing into the realm of industrial, new wave, synth-pop, dream pop, psychedelia and shoegaze.
