Strikkland is a Swedish electronic duo based in Gothenburg and Malmö. The band was formed in 2016 by long time friends Henric Ceder (music and programming) and Henrik Johansson (vocals and lyrics). Their music is best described as EBM (Electronic Body Music) or Aggrepo (Aggressive pop) eventhough they try to avoid the repetetiveness of classic Old School EBM .
London based online magazine Cold War Night Life (coldwarnightlife.com) described the EP <a href="spotify:album:0bNaxhO1lIbnR7h1WxdUVX" data-name="A gift of Solitude">A gift of Solitude</a> as "four tracks that escape the rigid confines of the genre while celebrating it's muscularity" and that sums up Strikklands sound pretty well.
In 2022 Strikkland teamed up with renowned Swedish mixing engineer and producer Hans Olsson at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg which resulted in the release of the single <a href="spotify:track:1zZfABYXp4pkyQxdkuOXQe" data-name="Demonic">Demonic</a> and later the bands debut album titled <a href="spotify:album:4u5O0ORHadxv9Mfgokorou" data-name="Bodypop">Bodypop</a> . Demonic reached #7 on the German Electronic Web Charts in August 2022.
In 2024 Strikkland played their first major shows outside of Sweden at E-Only Festival, Wave Gotik Treffen and at legendary Familientreffen in Sandersleben.
The collaboration between the band and Hans Olsson has continued and in March 2025 the second full length album <a href="spotify:album:0XOHmcB3sw9FPYgzGEzlrS" data-name="Hommage">Hommage</a> was released.
